With all of the pretty pictures we see on social media expressing visions of lives perfected to that of extreme luxury, adventure, travel, friendship, family and love so accomplished as to look flawless, remember that most of it is simply an illusion. We only allow you to peek through the window into the room that has been swept clean of all imperfections, while the closet is full of skeletons and debris, as no life is so impeccable as we often put in front of others on social feeds.

Our families do not look like the Brady Bunch. Many of us have tribes made up of friends and acquaintances, and many, have no families at all and are alone. Some live in war-torn countries where they are struggling to stay alive for one more day, and some are dealing with illness, loss and/or grief.

So whichever table you sit at today, celebrating Easter, Passover, or nothing at all, my wish is that you have something to be grateful for, something that gives you hope, some sense of joy and fulfillment. If you are so fortunate as to be blessed with family, love and hope, consider passing along some of that goodness to others less fortunate today, and I will do the same. Invite someone who you know is alone to join you in a celebration, consider donating to an organization supporting a cause that helps others, or simply take a moment to be mindful of the condition that others live in and say a quiet prayer for their well-being.

Wishing you a peaceful and beautiful day.

Sending blessings and love to all,

Eva
